The Club
Connoisseurs, amateurs and interested parties
The Carshalton Club was founded in London in 2024 by a company of connoisseurs, amateurs and interested parties, united by the conviction that wine is best understood in good company and in generous measure.
We gather each season to study a single theme across eight wines, red and white, tasted in flights. Every wine is scored by every member, discussed at length, and recorded in the Club's cellar book.

Rules of the Club
- Each member subscribes to the cellar fund ahead of every gathering.
- The Club acquires no fewer than one bottle per member, every one chosen to the evening's theme.
- Wines are tasted in flights, whites before reds, and every wine is scored by every member present, out of twenty, in the manner of the trade.
- All scores are entered in the cellar book, and the cellar book is final.
